I developed and managed this workplace learning centre within British Bakeries until it closed in July 2007, due to site closure.

During October 2006, the TUC Unionlearn conducted several case studies based on learners within the workplace learning centre I managed (Pictured - one of the several learners used for the case studies, receiving their course certificate).

July 2006: Brendan Barber Visit (Left)

During his annual visit to sites within the South West, Brendan Barber, TUC General Secretary visited British Bakeries Plymouth to see the learning centre, due to its high profile.  During his visit, he was given a presentation regarding the background, visited the learning centre and had a tour around the bakery factory.


May 2006: House of Lords Event (Right)

To celebrate the continuation of the BFAWU Learning Agenda Project Funding, the launch was held at the House of Lords.  During this event, I presented Project Workers with their BCS IT User Level 1 and ECDL Certificates (Pictured - one of the several Project Workers receiving their certificates).

Jan 2004 - Dec 2004: Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) - Post Compulsory Education and Training (PCET) at University of Plymouth, Seale Hayne Campus, Newton Abbot (Left)

Seale Hayne campus is situated close to Newton Abbot, South Devon and is situated within beautiful surroundings.  Although it was predominantly an agricultural faculty, I had the fortunate opportunity to complete my Post 16 Teacher Training PGCE and be one of the final few to study at this campus, before the University of Plymouth re-located this facility.
