I am a qualified post-16 Tutor / Trainer, learning practitioner, educator and IT specialist with a proven background and experience in delivering learning, e-learning and supporting learners. Experience of working in the field of post-16 adult and community education, lifelong learning, learning and skills sector as well as workplace learning. Specialising in IT / ICT with the majority of my extensive IT knowledge and skills being self taught. Enthusiastic and passionate about how learning, technology and IT / computing can benefit and be used to improve people's lives. This has always been one of the primary reasons for being involved in delivering learning and teaching in order to share my knowledge and passion with others. I am a member (MIfL) of the Institute for Learning (IfL) and been awarded Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) Licensed Practitioner Status.
In my previous position as Network Centre Co-ordinator / Project Worker South West, I was responsible for all management, administrative requirements and procedures in relation to the development, delivery and support of the e-learning provision and test centre requirements. I was able to develop, manage and support a national network of workplace learning centres across the various national employer sites within the union membership.
I have had many achievements in my previous positions and been featured in a variety of media, in recognition of my work successes. For example, managing and supporting various centres as registered accredited test centres, where I have achieved the highest grade A audit result for many consecutive years, due to how I efficiently manage, develop and administer all test centre requirements, processes, systems and activities. The learning centre I originally managed and supported was known as the flagship model for others to follow.
